After completing his high school at Chung Hwa Independent High School, Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Dato’ Arthur Wang proceeded to obtain his LLB from the University of Wales, U.K in 1990. He was admitted to the Bar at Middle Temple, London in 1992. Upon his admission he began his pupillage with a prestigious Middle Temple chamber under the guidance of Queen Counsel Esq. Gibson Grenfell. His stint there enabled him to be well versed in civil and criminal litigation matters being tried from the High Courts to the House of Lords in the United Kingdom.
In 1994, Dato’ Arthur Wang returned to Malaysia to commence pupillage with Messrs. Raja Darryl & Low. Dato’ Arthur Wang then joined Messrs. Michael Chen & Lee as Head of Litigation in 1995. He oversaw the firm’s matters related to foreclosures, banking, civil & commercial litigation, contract disputes, tort, matrimonial and probate matters. Dato’ Arthur Wang also dealt with bankruptcy proceedings, land & contractual disputes, injunction as well as appellate matters in the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court.
In 1997, he established the present practice of Arthur Wang, Lian & Associates. Dato’ Arthur Wang is an active member of the Malaysian Bar Council and the Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee’s various sub-committees including the Legal Professional Committee (2004-2008), the Professional Indemnity Insurance Committee (2004-2010) and the Kuala Lumpur Court Liaison Committee (2007-2009). He currently sits on the Bar Council’s panel of solicitors who represent the Malaysian Bar.

CHONG TZIN YERN
Tzin Yern graduated from the University of London in 1994 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and attained the Certificate of Legal Practice in the same year.
She commenced her pupilage in Messrs S. B. Cheah & Associates, a boutique firm specializing in various types of transactions including property acquisitions and disposals, property financing and land development, where she assisted the managing partner Mr. Cheah Shu Boon. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1995 and started practice as a legal assistant in the same firm.
Tzin Yern has since expanded her portfolio to include advice on property financing, project financing, corporate financing, business and trade financing, banking securities, corporate shares sales, subscriptions and options, joint venture schemes, shareholders’ agreements, sales of business and other assets and interests, land and other commercial leasing agreements and various other corporate, commercial and trading transactions.
She also provides advice to real property owners and developers, both local and foreign entities, on regulatory issues, taxation issues and property management issues in relation to all real property transactions and developments.
She has advised and represented a wide range of clients, both local and foreign, from individuals to various institutions and corporations including banks, developers, property agents, multinational and trading companies and foreign embassies.
She joined Messrs Arthur Wang, Lian & Associates in June 2013 and became a Partner of the firm in July 2014.
Nurufarhina Binti Ab Rahim

NURUFARHINA BINTI AB RAHIM
Nurufarhina graduated with a Bachelor of Law (Honours) in 2011 and Bachelor of Law (Syariah) (Honours) in 2012 from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Upon graduation, she commenced her pupillage at Messrs Arthur Wang, Lian & Associates under the guidance of Mr. Arthur Wang. She assisted Mr. Arthur Wang, other partners and senior lawyers in litigation including appeal cases to the Federal Court and the Court of Appeal.
Nurufarhina was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 21.1.2013. She was retained in the firm of Messrs Arthur Wang, Lian & Associates and was subsequently offered a partnership in 2017.
Throughout her pupillage and practice in Messrs Arthur Wang, Lian & Associates, she was exposed to various highly contested matters in relation to shareholders’ dispute, land disputes, removal of private/registrar’s caveat, dispute amongst directors of company and shareholders, contested probate and administration matters, land acquisition matters, commercial debt recovery, insolvency and restructuring and disciplinary proceedings involving advocates and solicitors.
She is also involved in all stages of civil litigation including mediation, negotiation for settlement, appeals to the Federal Court and the Court of Appeal, various types of injunction application, committal application, and execution proceedings.
Hanan Binti Mohamad Kamal

Hanan is a graduate of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) for Bachelor of Law (Honours) in 2013. Upon graduation, she commenced her pupillage at Richard Talalla & Harun under the tutelage of Mr. Mark Robin Talalla before being admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2015. Hanan joined Arthur Wang, Lian & Associates in 2016 and was thereafter made partner in 2020.
From the time she was admitted to practice, Hanan is involved in all stages of general, corporate and commercial litigation matters where her areas of practice include shareholders dispute, land dispute, joint management body and management corporation dispute, contested and uncontested probate matters, defamation matters and debt recovery in the Magistrates Court all the way to the Federal Court.
Hanan was also part of the team that was tasked to advise, negotiate and draft various agreements for disputes arising out of share purchase agreement between multi-national companies.
Hanan has also been entrusted to handle criminal litigation matters relating to offences under the Companies Commission of Malaysia Act 2001, Companies Act 1967, Employees Provident Fund Act 1991 as well as other offenses under the Penal Code.
